My name is Joanna Skiba. I’m a queer artist who bases their work on all flavours of fun with a pop of silly colour! Creativity is my medium and I use whatever tools I have at my disposal to create my vision, whether it is pencil crayons, digital painting, fabric and even acrylics. My goal–believe it or not, is to create a world where people can bring their childhood likes into adulthood with pride!

My artwork discusses topics like loves, likes, social media and communication. I am very interested in how we all have a produced image of our favourite things and now ourselves, and how that produced idea is shaped into a surreal, saturated version of reality. The artists that boost my need to create my own work are: Bridget Moser, Super Future Kid and Chloe Wise.

I am also a member of Good Sport–an amazing artist-filled studio and exhibition space in London, Ontario that focuses on emerging artists.
